In this Müpa Budapest series, the actress and jazz singer Erika Náray, in addition to singing two or three songs herself on each occasion, chats with guest artists who share her passion for jazz. Popular and acclaimed writer Krisztián Grecsó grew up in the small town of Szegvár, where he was born 40 years ago, and earned his degree in Szeged. After editing the periodical Bárka and working at the women's journal Nők Lapja, he has been employed at the weekly Élet és Irodalom ("Life and Liter...ature”) since 2009. The first of his many major successes came with his 2011 volume of short stories, Pletykaanyu ("Mother of Gossips”). Exactly one year to the day after our chat with the married couple of poet Anna Szabó T. and author György Dragoman, this evening yields another chance to ask a literary figure about his relationship with jazz and his favourite styles and performers.
Audience members will be able to take their seats in the Bohém Restaurant on a first-come, first-served basis from 6 pm, and can enjoy dinner before and after the concert.
