Müpa Budapest is welcoming visitors with a colourful offering of programmes, subject to enhanced public health measures

2020. October 29.

Müpa Budapest's 2020/21 season is progressing smoothly with an extraordinarily varied selection of programmes, all while carefully observing the public health regulations.

Naturally, nothing is more important to us than the safety of our visitors and artists. And so, in order to allow our visitors to enjoy our performances free of anxiety, we are continuing to apply the special safety regulations already introduced in line with professional recommendations and our own research carried out in regard to the matter, as well as with effective practices successfully put in place by our partner institutions both in Hungary and abroad.

During the daytime, Müpa Budapest will not be open to visitors – with the exception of those visiting the Ludwig Museum. The building will open to the general public an hour and a half before the start of a concert, and close one hour after the end of the performance.

Visitors may only enter the Müpa Budapest building after they have been tested for signs of fever: we will be checking the body temperature of people entering the building with a hand-held thermometer at the entrance. In addition, we are paying extra attention to keeping the building clean, with special regard to disinfecting the toilets, countertops, door handles and other surfaces and ventilating the auditoriums, with protection enhanced through the use of non-contact disinfectant dispensers.

It will be mandatory to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth everywhere inside the Müpa Budapest building – including the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall and the Festival Theatre – and to maintain a distance of 1.5 metres from other people while waiting in a queue.

Although changes may take place in the programme, renowned Hungarian performers and world-class productions will assure that our visitors can enjoy experiences of outstanding quality – together, and in safety.

If you notice flu-like symptoms, or suspect that you might be infected by the virus, please do not visit Müpa Budapest. Instead, in order to recover as quickly as possible, please stay at home and give your ticket or season ticket to someone else. If it is not possible to do so, or if you prefer not to go out in public, you can return your tickets on the online interface already set up for this purpose and request refunds for the price of subscription performances by clicking here. In the case of cancelled performances, you have 30 days from the originally scheduled date to request a refund.

We look forward to seeing you at Müpa Budapest!
