Miklós Perényi was born into a musical family in 1948. His talent was discovered early, and he gave his first solo performance at the age of nine. He studied under Ede Banda at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, before graduating from the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome in 1962. Since 1974, he has taught at the Liszt Academy, and has also tried his hand at composition besides performing concerts and teaching. His repertoire extends from the Baroque to the works of contemporary composers,... and he has twice won the Kossuth Prize in recognition of his work. Presented by: Concerto Budapest
