It is presumed that it was from an album put together by the Bach family that Johann Gottfried Neumeister copied down the chorale adaptations of which 36 are attributed to Johann Sebastian. These and other pieces will be performed here by Balázs Szabó, who in November 2014 brought home second prize from the competition in Chartres considered to be the "Olympics for organists”. For technical reasons, the final of the competition was held in Notre-Dame de Paris, giving the organists the chan...ce to perform on the same organ on which Louis Vierne played his works a century earlier.
Additional programmes will spice up the event in the Glass Hall and the Foyer; for example, the Bach Café and Bach Organ-workshop.
