Bearing Bach's hallmarks in every tiny detail, the Little Organ Book collection dates from the composer's Weimar years (between 1712 and 1717). The set of chorale adaptations spanning the festivals of the ecclesiastical calendar will be played by Ágoston Tóka, who studied under the leading Hungarian masters, as well as in master classes given by world-renowned foreign professors such as Christoph Bossert, Olivier Latry and Sietze de Vries. Organist of the Baptist congregation of Újpest sin...ce 2010, Tóka regularly appears as a soloist, accompanist on both organ and piano, and continuo player in Baroque musical ensembles.
Additional programmes will spice up the event in the Glass Hall and the Foyer; for example, the Bach Café and Bach Organ-workshop.
