Ever since the beginning, music and dance have been an indispensable part of human existence: accompaniment to our joys, our sufferings, to our everyday lives and our celebrations. Then as now, they have helped mankind develop, enrich and pass on its culture. The Dohnányi Orchestra Budafok has taken many daring and successful excursions into the world of dance, and the Central Europe Dance Theatre has delighted audiences with many wonderful productions based on classical music. This first encounter between the two seasoned artistic ensembles promises a varied and entertaining creative work. The excerpts selected from orchestral works by Bach, Beethoven, Bernstein, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Massenet, Mozart, Ravel, Prokofiev and Khachaturian come together in an everyday story in which the wide range of emotions give rise to a captivating, entertaining and moving dance composition.
