The youth wind orchestra was formed at the Stanisław Moniuszko School of the Arts in Šalčininkai in 2004 and has flourished since then. It is conducted by Rimantas Rutkauskas. The ensemble of dancers led by Marija Dedel-Druzina collaborates closely with the orchestra, embellishing the music with their dancing.
The orchestra is a familiar presence in its home town, where they march along the streets playing their music and bringing cheer to the local residents. They actively participate in ...both local and national festivals and are frequent guests in neighbouring Poland and Belarus. Their concert programme consists of more than 100 pieces from Lithuania and abroad. In addition to representing the town of Šalčininkai, the orchestra is also an ambassador for the entire country of Lithuania, and today they want to share the Lithuanian spirit with you.
