Founded in 1999, the members of the Talamba Percussion Group met and made friends as students at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Their goal in life is to introduce the broad repertoire of their musical genres and to help them "find peace” with one another. Their concerts are just as likely to include arrangements of Bach's fugues or Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition as they are to reinterpret songs by Magashegyi Underground or feature jazz, folk songs, African tribal rhythms or fast-paced Balkan melodies. They are musicians who combine genres and entertain audiences at home and abroad with genuine 21st century music. Their musical presence extends beyond concert performances: They also have a cultural mission to travel the country and introduce children to their music and instruments. On this occasion, they share their skill and passion for percussion music and rhythm with the Müpa Budapest audience.
Between 9.45 and 10.30, we will be running a free (and playful) interactive session for children entitled Tune-Up. We look forward to welcoming groups and individuals who hold tickets to the subsequent performance. Register by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating the number of participants and their ages, by the Wednesday before the performance at the latest. The activity is recommended for children aged 6 and over, and will take place with a minimum of six children.
Age: 10-14 year
Presented by: Müpa Budapest
The Müpa Budapest underground garage gates will be operated by an automatic number plate recognition system. Parking is free of charge for visitors with tickets to any of our paid performances on that given day. The detailed parking policy of Müpa Budapest is available here.
