Now renowned worldwide, the Budapest Wagner Days is a chronicle of countless unforgettable performances, experiences to last a lifetime and spellbinding artistic mastery. It would of course be impossible to condense every important moment into a single exhibition, but this was not the goal: Instead, we look back on more than a decade of performances through a series of memorable photographs that capture the past, present and future of the Budapest Wagner Days.
This collection of images pr...esented on Müpa Budapest's Banner Square features a powerful image from almost every production. When compiling the images, it was impossible to ignore Hartmut Schörghofer, the director of the now updated Ring Tetralogy, and Ádám Fischer, the Artistic Director and conductor of the Budapest Wagner Days, alongside the world-class singers.
Photographers providing images for the exhibition: Gábor Kotschy, Attila Nagy, Zsófia Pályi, Zsuzsa Pető, János Posztós, Zoltán Pólya and Tamás Réthey-Prikkel.
Let's relive these most wonderful moments!
