Neopolitan musician Raiz and the Radicanto group from Bari released their first album together under the title Casa, meaning “home.” This common home is essentially the whole of the Mediterranean as, irrespective of whether they are playing Neopolitan, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Arab or Jewish music, they are able to deliver everything with the same authenticity and ear for a good tune. What’s more, Raiz has an astonishing voice, at once raw and full of heartstring-tugging emotion. It has taken... more than ten years’ effort to find a common voice for fado, flamenco, rumba and the rest… and anyone hearing it will be hooked for good. Presented by: Palace of Arts
