Bin-Jip present their long-awaited new album! The members of the project, built on the work of producer Andrew J, the extraordinary voice of Veronika Harcsa and the unique guitar sound of Bálint Gyémánt, have been working for three years on the new record, which invited guest performers helped record. The material from the new disc will be heard for the first time by the Müpa audience in its entirety.
Bin-Jip play experimental electronic music in which sounds worked out to the tiniest det...ail play the main role, but where spontaneity, improvisation and the music's live quality are also defining elements. The members of the ensemble come from different musical worlds, but working intensely together in recent years has created for them their own, outstandingly modern musical language. In 2010, their début album, Enter, won the Fonogram Award as Hungary's alternative album of the year. The new album, by contrast, is more dynamic and bold in its harmonisation. No Way Boy, one of its previously released new songs, was selected from a international field by the producers of New York's BalconyTV as the video for the month of June.
Guest at this concert is the world-renowned trumpeter Erik Truffaz, who collaborates with the band here for the second time, and who earlier performed Bin-Jip compositions with his own band and Veronika Harcsa as guest.
Also appearing this evening are visual artists Kiégő Izzók, who have previously performed with Bin-Jip at highly successful concerts at the Planetarium. Kiégő Izzók bring the same unique visuals to the Müpa stage as 3D animations are projected onto a gigantic hemisphere installed above the band's heads.
