For true sport fans, pretty much every match and competition is unmissable. A great commentator, however, is capable of making these events interesting even for people who would be happy to change the channel. After more than 50 years on the small screen, Tamás Vitray's broadcasts have made him a legend in the eyes of Hungarian TV viewers. If we look back on Olympic sporting events we watched on television, our memories are sure to be accompanied by his familiar voice and learned explanations. Though the 86-year-old TV star originally wanted to be a theatre director, he had harboured a passion for sports since he was as young as six, when he would play with toys he created for himself instead of going to school. Mr Vitray's incredibly rich career, which has seen him pick up innumerable awards, the prestigious Kossuth Prize included, began with his famous 'stool interview'. In order to overcome the significant difference in height between the reporter and the athlete Rafer Johnson, Mr Vitray stood on a stool for the duration of their interview, with watching viewers none the wiser, of course.
Tamás Vitray has countless similar and extraordinary stories in his locker. He is sure to share a few of them with the audience in conversation with Erika Náray. Accompanied, naturally, by some thoroughly enjoyable jazz music.

Audience members, who will be able to take their seats in the Bohém Restaurant on a first-come, first-served basis from 6 pm, receive a welcome drink and can enjoy dinner before or after the concert.
