The second performance in the richly cross-generic Babel series at the Palace of Arts focuses on the kiss. A kiss that can be disarmingly sweet or agonisingly bitter - or just a peck on the cheek - but when it is real, then it is fulfilment itself. A kiss we yearn for, and which we have lost, a kiss that embodies our connection or our absence. This is what our wonderful cast of performers will undertake to display with enthusiasm, suffering, humour and nostalgia: the irresistible Bea Palya in th...e language of world music (mainly with songs from her new album Nő), and cult group Csókolom with the stirring sound of alternative rock. But the evening will also feature a film première, as András Jeli and Dávid Lukács present a work entitled Kis(s)film and shot specially for the occasion. Dance further spices up the mix, courtesy of the Judit Szamosi Company with a performance of the piece Mi ketten vagyunk, winner of the audience prize at the 2014 SzólóDuó Dance Festival. And, just so literature is not left out, Zoltán Pallag presents a few outstanding poems from his volume entitled Noir, which was released to great acclaim at this year's Book Week. Last but not least, the duties of host will be performed by Bori Péterfy.
