This three-day festival inspired by the jazz city of New Orleans is enjoying its seventh highly successful year of connecting the dots between traditional jazz and swing. The closing night of the festival celebrates the most famous trumpet player ever to have lived courtesy of the Louis Armstrong Revival Band. Hailing from Germany, this ensemble of nine musicians is led by trombonist Alexander Katz and was formed in 2001, on the 100th anniversary of the birth of New Orleans' favourite son. E...ver since, the band, in an unusual formation comprising three trumpet players, has achieved great success in breathing new life into Armstrong's familiar melodies and most popular solos.
