New Fall-Winter programmes

Magical Northern European jazz, contemporary circus, an amazing world music duo, a versatile Italian piano virtuoso in the mould of György Cziffra, treats of Armenian folk music and an encounter with Bartók, afrobeat intertwined with traditional Gypsy music, and of course, the traditional anticipation of the miracle of Christmas with music and dance – Müpa Budapest will have plenty of remarkable programmes prepared for the audience in both November and December.

Among those coming to visit us in Budapest will be the Norwegian jazz diva Rebekka Bakken, who fills concert halls with both her presence and her radiant voice, and the duo of Welsh harpist Catrin Finch and Senegalese kora player Seckou Keitam, who are simply something to hear, and that's not even to mention the unforgettable concert guaranteed from The Gurjieff Ensemble, a group formed in 2008 by outstanding Armenian folk musicians. Percussion phenomenon Gergő Borlai, who nowadays splits his time between Los Angeles and Barcelona, will at last be returning home to Hungary for a show, while the crew of the Mabon Dawud Republic will this time be joined on stage by Mónika Lakatos, Jenő Lisztes and Saïd Tichiti
