Müpa season tickets 2015/2016
The 2015-2016 season at the Müpa Budapest offers several traditional subscriptions (and individual concerts) spiced up with new colour and ideas. The Orchestra Box subscription returns with another exclusive selection, as does the Soloists and Orchestras season ticket, while the Chamber Treasures concerts celebrates the global stars passing through our revolving doors in quick succession. The four feasts of All Saints' Day, Christmas, the New Year and the Easter Week will each feature a representative oratorio as part of the Festivals and Oratorios subscription. Productions by global stars will be brought together in the Vocal Chords subscription, while the Musical Stage season ticket offers up a wide variety of musical theatre productions. The Spring and Autumn subscriptions of the Symphonic Discoveries series comprise a total of seven performances, and the Rising Stars subscription will once again introduce up-and-coming talent over the course of three two-part concerts.
The Artist of the Season will be László Fassang, so the usual Organ subscription will be joined by the Artist of the Season subscription in putting the organ firmly in the spotlight. The 25-year-old Purcell Choir and Orfeo Orchestra have been selected as Ensembles of the Season, and their season ticket will be in harmony with concerts from the new Early Music Festival.
The hotly anticipated Beethoven subscription features the Vienna Philharmonic, the Wiener Kammerensemble and the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the latter under the baton of Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi.
We will also continue to extend a special welcome and extra discounts to our patrons of a wiser age in the form of our Seniors' Season subscription.
Season tickets represent an average 15% discount on prices for individual concerts, with the exception of the Early Music Festival season ticket with 25% discount and the Seniors' Season subscription, a unique, heavily discounted special offer available in limited numbers for purchase exclusively in person at the Müpa Budapest box offices on presentation of a valid pensioner's card.
