Hey, June!

Hey, June! is Müpa’s inaugural summer festival of pop music, but not just one of many of its kind. Musicians see each Müpa concert as a great opportunity and have their imagination really fired by this location. They dream up musical solutions and visuals they can’t create elsewhere so Hey, June! offers a completely different experience than any open-air summer concert. The festival’s lineup is refreshingly colourful every year, not only in the diversity of genres but also for the fact that beside those bands that have already made it big, up-and-coming talents also get the chance to show themselves. This year’s edition will feature the highly successful Irie Maffia, a band born 10 years ago just like Müpa. They really make the most of Müpa, even playing the grand organ in the concert hall. László Kollár-Klemencz and The Little Cow Melancholics  will merge music and literature with the help of guests including writer Krisztián Grecsó. A real treat will be offered by a new exciting underground talent, Swedish-Hungarian Antonia Vai, and Laboratory, a show that combines music and projection, by soundtrack magician Žagar Motion Picture. Odett, the highly popular Hungarian pop singer, attracts a lot of fans with her unique voice and will spice up her Müpa show with a children’s choir and Pater Sparrow’s visual effects. Setting the mood for the summer festival season, Hey, June! is the event where everything is different than anywhere else!
