On the website, click on the link “Forgotten password” in the log-in window, and enter the e-mail address that you provided upon registration. We will send you an automatically generated e-mail and you can set a new password by clicking on the link in the e-mail.

What type of browser is recommended to view this site?
For best experience, we recommend the use of a computer running the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari. To view multimedia contents you need to download a Flash extension file. In case of mobile phones and tablets, a device running Android 4.0.4, iOS 7, Windows Phone 8.0 or more recent app versions is recommended.

What devices are recommended to view live webcasts?
The recommended minimum internet bandwidth for viewing webcasts is 5 Mbit/s (~625kb/s). The recommended minimum configuration for your PC is Intel Pentium 4 with at least 1024 MB RAM+ and 350 MB free hard disk space. To watch Müpa Live Webcasts, you need Internet Explorer 8.0+, - Firefox FF 17+, Safari 5.0+, Opera 11.0+ or Chrome 11.0+. For browsers that do not support HTML5, you need to download Flash Player.

At which family and youth events do parents need to buy tickets for themselves in addition to their children?
On the site of family and youth events, besides ticket prices, we also inform our visitors about which members of the family are required to buy tickets. Ticket purchasing will be available as follows:

Can children sit in their parents’ lap during performances?
No, children cannot sit in their parents’ lap. Attending our adult shows is not recommended for children younger than primary school age (6 years). Tickets must also be purchased for young children if they attend a performance. Please take age recommendations into consideration, even in the case of children’s events.

How can I get notification of live broadcasts?
You can subscribe to notifications on the Müpa Budapest website, on the Müpa Live Webcast page under the Media menu, and you will receive email notification 1 hour before the start of the concert.

How can I save the performance I have purchased tickets to in my Google Calendar?
By clicking on the “SAVE TO CALENDAR” button located in the upper right corner on the event page.

How can I take pictures, as a press professional, at events organised by the Palace of Arts?
Taking pictures by press professionals is permitted at our events provided that the performing artists have given their prior consent and, in the artists’ opinion, this would not disturb the performance. If Müpa’s photographer is allowed to take pictures at an event, we are happy to make the photos available to the press for publication. How can I get a press ticket?
Press tickets may be requested through our online platform until the 6th day before the date of the event. If you have not used our online platform yet, please register as a press professional on the site New registrations in our system are verified and approved by our staff, which may take a few days. Once approved, you can log on to our website and order your tickets. Please note that we do not provide seated tickets for photographers and crews; these professionals are issued a limited number of press passes to perform their tasks. Whom should I contact with press-related questions?

Will the Drive-in Cinema be showing previous Müpa performances or live concerts?
With the exception of two shows from the Metropolitan Opera, the Drive-in Cinema will feature broadcasts of live performances taking place in the Festival Theatre.

If it's a drive-in cinema, why aren't you showing films?
While Müpa's film series is extremely popular, we decided to dedicate the Drive-In Cinema to providing extraordinary musical experiences. In this way, our spectators – though indirectly – can see and hear live productions, recreating the magic of the well-known Müpa experience.

When does it start?
The show starts at 9 pm on Wednesdays to Saturdays, while the two Met opera broadcasts begin at 8 pm. You can find the exact details on our website, on the ticket or in the description on our Facebook event page.

Can you buy food and drink at the venue?
You can buy food and drink at the venue from mobile vendors, with all products sold in line with the relevant health guidelines. Only bank card and SZÉP card payments are accepted.

How can you buy tickets, and how much does it cost?
You can only buy tickets for the shows in advance online. Tickets purchased are valid for one car, and cost HUF 4,000. The car can contain several passengers, as long as the number of passengers does not exceed the official capacity of the car. Payment options: Simple Pay, bankcard, Müpa gift vouchers. It is not possible to pay online with a SZÉP card.

What's the latest you can buy a ticket for an individual performance?
You can buy a ticket for a concert on the day of the performance. Online ticket sales will close when the concert itself begins.

Can discounts from the Müpa+ loyalty programme be applied to the Drive-in Cinema events?
Yes, you can apply ticket discounts for the Müpa+ loyalty programme to these shows.

Are there places available for people in wheelchairs?
Of course. After purchasing their tickets, we kindly ask our wheelchair visitors to notify our staff via email by writing to, so we can ensure you have the appropriate space. 

Where exactly is in the Drive-in Cinema, and how do I get there?
The Drive-in Cinema is located in Müpa's outdoor car park. You can see how to get there in the map below.

Can you book a space in the car park in advance?
This is not possible. Cars are allocated spaces as they arrive according to the instructions of the staff. 

Can I choose my own place?
You can only park your car in the space designated by the operating staff, maintaining a safe distance (at least 1.5 metres) from other cars. The order of the location of the cars may vary slightly from the actual arrival time of the cars, depending on the specific characteristics of the vehicles. In any case, all motorists are obliged to follow the instructions of the operating staff and to park their car in the space allocated.

Can you turn on the engine or the lights during the performance?
No. After reaching your spot, please turn off the car's engine and switch off the lights.

How can I hear the broadcast, how does the sound system work?
The sound of the broadcast will be available on an FM wavelength provided at the venue. You should tune your car's radio to this wavelength. Please check in advance that your car radio has this function. The frequency information required for tuning your radio, which varies from show to show, will only be provided to ticket holders upon arrival.

What rules apply to the venue. What happens if there is an accident, for example?
The Hungarian road rules apply. Ticket holders are also required to follow the instructions of the operating staff for parking and safe orientation. In the event of an accident, the person responsible for the damage is required to settle the damage with their liability insurance. At the event, everyone is responsible for their own risk.

Will the broadcast begin at exactly the time specified?
The designated start point will not always indicate the start point of the broadcast, as the Müpa Drive-in Cinema will show adverts and trailers prior to the beginning of the concert.

Can I leave in the middle of the performance?
If you need to, you can leave the Drive-in Cinema venue at any time. This is why it is essential that each car occupies the appropriate allocated space. At the end of the broadcast, when leaving the venue you should follow the instructions of the operating staff and the information provided on the LED screen.

Can I get out of the car during the broadcast?
Attendees should only get out of the car during the broadcast to use the restrooms, or if they have a good reason to ask for assistance (feeling unwell, etc.). During the broadcast, it is not possible to leave the car for other reasons. It is also important not to leave you car unattended. Due to the current epidemic, you should use a mask when leaving the car, and also keep a 1.5 m-distance when queuing for and using the restrooms. 

Can I smoke?
Yes, but only in the designated area.

Can I bring my dog? 
No, unfortunately it is not permitted to bring pets to the Drive-in Cinema area.

If the performance is cancelled, do I get a refund on the ticket?
If the broadcast is interrupted, or cancelled (for technical reasons, a power cut, epidemiological measures, a natural disaster, force majeure, etc.), Müpa will inform visitors of the condition for refunds in due course.
