What sets Rossen Milanov apart from other conductors is that he is also a recognised ballet conductor who regularly works with big-name choreographers and ballet companies in Zurich, Stockholm, Geneva and Philadelphia. He is active on several music scenes, in his native Bulgaria as well as the United States and Spain. He spent 11 years with the Philadelphia Orchestra as assistant, then associate conductor, under the tenures of Wolfgang Sawallisch, Christoph Eschenbach and Charles Dutoit. Written... during the Second World War, the ballet Cinderella is regarded by music critics as the epitome of Sergei Prokofiev's most beautiful music.
