Miklós Perényi, a cellist now approaching legendary status, will perform Dvořák's concerto premièred 120 years ago, which will be followed after the interval by the mysterious and wonderful The Planets by Holst. The orchestra will be conducted b...y the highly energetic Péter Halász, who followed an opera career in Germany and years spent with Bernard Haitink and Adam Fischer. Presently he is taking up the post of Principal Music Director at the Hungarian State Opera in the spring of 2014.
