Strauss: Sinfonia domestica, op. 53 Kamilló Lendvay composed his three movement Jazz Symphony for the fortieth anniversary of the Szeged ensemble. He expands the orchestra with four saxophones and additional percussion. Richard Strauss completed his autobiographical work in 1903, at a time when he had consolidated his authentic voice as a composer. Bartók, who was... an avid admirer of Strauss in his youth, finished his Piano Concerto no. 3 on his death bed. The soloist will be the nineteen year old Hungarian-Japanese pianist Attila Kaneko Miyuji who won first prize at the 2008 Szeged Béla Bartók National Piano Competition.
