The production is set in the time of the Hungarian uprising against the Austrian Habsburgs. The main character is a composite of several actual hi...storical figures. The story gives a fairy tale-like and often humorous account of the Hungarian freedom fighters who use their native Hungarian cunning and ingenuity to get the better of the bumbling Austrian forces.
