Frank Martin’s (1890-1974) ballet, The Tale of Cinderella was commissioned by the choreographer Marie-Eve Kreis, but ended up languishing in the seller of the Bärenreiter publishing company. Paul Sacher, who gave it its world premiere in Basel, programmed it on a Zurich concert programme in 1990.
