Petrushka Choreography: Dmitri Simkin, James Sutherland Sets, Costumes: Dmitri Simkin Rite of Spring Choreography: Attila Kun Sets, Costumes: Zsuzsa Molnár Lighting: Attila Kun, Péter Hécz „To what degree can the individual influence the system? To what degree the system the individual? Should they join or avoid? [...] Two things can happen with a person: accept and be split up, or rebel and be expelled which could be fatal. My Petrushka does not want to be a Puppet! Just a... normal Person.” Dmitri Simkin „11 fantastic artists wrestle with the emotions of Stravinsky’s gigantic masterpiece, offering their full bodies and souls. Notes, melodies, sinews and tendons zigzag across for the one chance, the general sacrifice who redeems man and makes life a celebration along with eternal temptation of death. But the sacrifice is not in vain, because every sacrifice gives birth to new meaning, new energy, new thoughts. And makes it a celebration!” Attila Kun
