A joint production by the National Dance Theatre and the Yvette Bozsik Company. Yvette Bozsik’s new choreography presents the passionate relationship between Death and the Maiden. The music and the dialogue of the choreography symbolises the cycle of life and death. The Wedding which was premiered in 2008, won the Rudolf Labán prize in 2009. The four scenes – the Blessing of the Bride, the Blessing of the Bridegroom, the Departure of the Bride, and the Wedding Feast – depict a Russian rural wed...ding that is almost totally impersonalised by its overtly stylised rituals Further performances: Festival Theatre, May 27. (19.00)
