Joint production by the National Dance Theatre and the Yvette Bozsik Company. The performance was inspired by experiences with the dance piece Magic Flute, premiered in Autumn 2006 at the Palace of Arts, as well as the original opera. Magic Circus is a performance for children. Its characters are members of a wondering circus troop (the Queen of the Night is an animal trainer, Tamino an acrobat, Papageno a clown and Papagena a tight-rope walker) who must perform in Sarastro’s palace. It is r...are in the life of a dance troop to be able to rethink and refashion an existing performance for children, so they can understand the story and “essence” of Mozart’s opera in a different theatrical language. Further performances: Festival Theatre, April 8., June 8. (15.00)
