Brass in the Five (László Simai, Tamás Tóth– trumpet, Péter Soós – horn, Béla Koppány – trombone, Tibor Takács – tuba), Csaba Méhes – pantomime Brass in the Five were formed quite by accident in 1992. When Queen Elizabeth II visited Hungary, their teacher nominated musicians to make an ad hoc quintet for a ceremonial concert. After the performance, the Queen turned to them and said “I hope I’ll meet this superb ensemble again.” As a tribute to the Queen, they named themselves Brass in the ...Five and have since enjoyed tremendous success. Their programme is a regular circus performance, during the course of which they appear as musicians, artists and even wild animals! Besides their superb instrumental skills, they also sparkle with irresistible humour. The performances will be followed by creative activities in the Ludwig Museum.
