After a hiatus of a few years, Boban Marković will once again close out the year for the Müpa Budapest stage, or rather, he'll be setting the mood for New Year's Eve! With his own - always young - ensemble, Boban has achieved everything that can be achieved with a band in this corner of the world, being able to boast many awards, hundreds of thousands of records sold, as well as hundreds of club and festival concerts. Tens of thousands of fans come to hear their music wherever in Europe they play.
For his year-end concert this time around in Budapest, we can promise no less than free and spontaneous joyous music mixing Balkan and European musical traditions in the sounds of Boban and his band. The past few years have been built around their album Mrak, whose hits can be enjoyed with the same enthusiasm as his timeless soundtracks! Hungary remains their favourite country: it is here where Boban has given the most beautiful concerts of his life, where they have played more music than anywhe...re else, and where their performances stir up the biggest ‘fuss'. Marković has been considered the finest trumpet player in Serbia for some three decades, and according to the music magazine Songlines, he was also the best in the world.
