- Replacement concert for the performance originally planned for 12 October, 2015, which was postponed. Tickets purchased for the original performance are also valid for this concert.
For Hungarian audiences, the name Mátyás Premecz is indelibly linked to two things: a series of high-energy bands (among them The Qualitons and Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric, while he also accompanied the late Jackie Orszáczky on his last Hungarian tour), and a huge Hammond organ. To exploit... the limitless possibilities of the latter instrument, he founded the band Kéknyúl, which nevertheless quickly became much more than a mere showcase for the Hammond. Mátyás's compositions contain so much colour and playfulness that listeners arriving from all corners of the musical universe can find something to latch onto. It's no surprise that the band's concerts are frequented by everyone from rockers on motorbikes to teenagers in tracksuits, not to mention jazz fans.
The band's debut album Nahát babám was released in June 2010. The group was then joined by Andrew Hefler, a Californian-raised actor, singer and trainer based in Hungary. The fruit of their cooperation appeared in early 2014 in the shape of The Wind Plays Me, an album of soul and funk compositions. This evening, the band presents material from their third album, released at the end of 2015.
