The legendary album Marsbéli krónikák (The Martian Chronicles) by Hungarian prog-rock band Solaris was released exactly 30 years ago. And so it stands to reason that the latest stop on the career retrospective which began at Müpa last year should present this musical material. The concert will consist of three main sections. The first will naturally contain now legendary compositions from the eponymous Marsbéli krónikák album. The second section will feature indispensable progressive "hits...” of the original Solaris band, while the third block of music presents a number of compositions from the band's new album Marsbéli krónikák 2, which Solaris fans will have the first chance to encounter here at this concert.
The selection of tunes and work on the night's show begins in the spring, and rehearsals for the concert in August. Most of the summer will be spent preparing and recording the new material. The band members are already excitedly readying themselves to meet their public once again, many of whom have remained loyal to Solaris for decades.
