Celebrating ten years together this year, Turbo is one of Hungary's leading underground bands. Often styled as a group playing psychedelic rock, Turbo has also shown its softer side on several previous occasions, but on this occasion presents its songs in an entirely new guise. The group, which has released three albums so far, took part for the second time in the recording of MR2 Petőfi Radio's Akusztik show this spring, and promises new acoustic material for the autumn. In addition, it has lon...g cherished a dream to appear in a truly special venue to perform both old songs and numbers written - or reworked - especially for the occasion. As the group's drummer explains: "The reason I'm longing to play in one of the country's most important concert venues is that, although for years we've rehearsed with Turbo only 216 metres from Müpa, it always seemed impossible that we'd ever perform there. You could say it's a dream come true.” The band is inviting some special guests to help perform its mainly intuitive, visceral music in the shape of Swedish-Hungarian singer Antonia Vai and cimbalom player Bálint Tárkány-Kovács.
