  • On April 10 and as part of a major press event, the Palace of Arts announced its events for the 2013/2014 season. The Artist of the Season will be world-famous cellist Miklós Perényi, who will be performing before audiences as both a chamber music player and a soloist.

    Photo and Video Contest

    Once again this year, the Palace of Arts announces its Photo and Video Contest, this time for all secondary school, university and college students in Hungary


  • Located in the Záborszky Winery of Budafok, Wine City topped off the domestic events of the dual bicentenary by unveiling the bronze statues of Verdi and Wagner. The works by József Huber and István Pogáts were unveiled by Palace of Arts CEO Csaba Káel and Hungarian State Opera Director General Szilveszter Ókovács on Monday at the invitation of Imre Békési, the owner of Wine City.

  • The Palace of Arts and the Budapest Festival Orchestra will begin strategic cooperation starting from the 2012-2013 season. A shared history is the basis for this strategic alliance – which will implement closer cooperation than ever before – and its future will rely on faith in high quality co-productions, as well as the common intention of adding to Hungary’s reputation for quality cultural events.

    The second choreography of the Bartók Trilogy, made by Gerzson Péter Kovács and Gábor Mihályi to László Sáry’s music integrating Hungarian folk music and moving towards contemporary abstract, was premiered at Müpa Festival Theatre on October 29, 2008.
